A Technological Adventure
Recently, I had the privilege of being invited to Bergamo, Italy, by Gavin Knight, the Senior Technical Manager at W&H.
W&H is a renowned supplier of high-quality dental drills, and our practice exclusively utilizes their range of over 15 different types.
Precision and Efficiency
Each of our surgeries at Saving Smiles, currently stocks approximately 12 drills, a mix of air-driven and electric. The electric drills offer significant advantages. By maintaining consistent torque, electric drills enable faster and more precise cutting of teeth and fillings. This translates to shorter treatment times and reduced tooth damage, ultimately enhancing the patient experience.
Sterilization, Safety, and Innovation
W&H is also a leader in sterilization technology. Our practice relies on four 17-litre sterilization machines to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety for our instruments.
As a key stakeholder, I was invited to their production and research development facility to contribute to the next phase of an exciting project. I had the opportunity to test both the product and software, providing valuable feedback from a customer’s perspective.
Patient-Centric Technology
My primary focus is to ensure that our tools prioritize patient safety, reliability, and accuracy, delivering a seamless and high-quality experience. The sessions I attended were both intense and inspiring, delving into technology, programming, design, and AI.
A Brighter Future for Dental Care
Our Saving Smiles practices are committed to continuous improvement and investment in cutting-edge technology. Stay tuned for exciting new equipment that will benefit a wide range of patients soon.
